2014 ABVCAP Annual Conference

For the past years the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association has gathered more than 600 local and global professionals active or interested in Brazil´s growing asset class. This is the largest and most informed gathering for managers or investors looking to learn more about Brazil´s PE/VC asset class and looking to network with the principal local players from pension funds, government agencies, banks and family office investors as well as fund managers from all segments.
The 2014 ABVCAP Annual Conference will be held in Rio de Janeiro at the Sofitel Copacabana between April 14-16.
Limited Partner Track
A special agenda has been designed to attend the needs of local and global Limited Partners.
Private meetings during the conference (April 14 & 15 all-day) Limited Partners attending the conference will be able to coordinate private meetings with fund managers also present during the event. A private room will be reserved all day on both days of the conference exclusive for these meetings.
LP-only Breakfast (April 15 from 8.00 a.m. to 11 a.m.) On day two, a closed-door morning meeting reserved for Limited Partners only (fund of funds, secondaries funds, pension funds, foundations, endowments, insurance companies, family offices, etc. ) from both Brazil and abroad to discuss issues such as portfolio allocation, fund and fee structures, diversification in sectors/segments and hot spots for investment strategy. In 2013, the Breakfast gathered 28 institutions from Brazil and abroad, which included: Funcef, Valia, Previ, BNDES, Fundação Itaú Unibanco, Fundação Real Grandeza, FAPES, IFC, EIA, CAF, MIF/FOMIN, HOPP, Finep among other LPs. LPGP Business Rounds and Fund Manager Showcase (April 16 fom 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) On April 16th a hand-full of LPs will be able to join the LPGP Business Rounds and Fund Manager Showcase. This is a tailor-made set of meetings that run approximately for 40 minutes with fund managers selected by the participating LP. LPs also have the opportunity to meet and get up to date with new funds in the market through brief presentations conducted by the GPs in an open-microphone context. More information. Registration
All qualified Limited Partners attend the event for free. After a brief review our team will send a confirmation that your firm is entitled to the gratuity and the special LP program. Qualified LPs include public pension funds, endowments, fund of funds, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, DFIs and ILPA members.
