Private Equity & Venture Capital inBrazil Forum Europe - Frankfurt

The Private Equity & Venture Capital inBrazil Forum Europe held on 30 October in Frankfurt and organized by  ABVCAP, ApexBrasil and Taylor Wessing Partners, with the support of Atheneum Partners, BVK and Pinheiro Neto gathered about 50 pratictioners from the Brazilian and German industries in a  closed and exclusived meeting to talk openly about potential investment opportunities in Brazil´s private equity and venture capital.

The keynote was presented by Frank Niehage, CEO of Bank Sarasin, which was recently aquired by the Brazilian Safra Bank. The intimate event encouraged open dialogue about all the major issues regarding investments in Brazil.

Leading the legal discussions were Stefan Kroeker, Partner at Taylor Wessing Partners and João Marcelo Pacheco, Partner at the Brazilian law firm Pinheiro Neto Advogados. To talk about the actual deals and transaction scenario as well as its challenges and perspectives for the coming year were Amaury Junior of Vision Investments, Frederico Robalinho of Nova Investimentos and Luiz Abreu of NSG Capital. This session was moderated by Mathias Wengeler of Atheneum Partners.

To close this exciting and lively morning discussion, the audience heard from LPs active in Brazil on their experiences and perspectives in investing in the country. The panel included Joachim Schumacher of  DEG, Duncan Littlejohn of Paul Capital Partners and Hans Apostel of  OSF Merchant.
