Is Brazil´s PEVC Ecosystem still interesting today?

On April 7th and 8th join more than 500 of the top industry professionals from local and global fund managers, institutional investors, portfolio companies and advisors in Brazil.

Resources Capital committed to the industry continues to increase in spite of macroeconomic difficulties. From 2012 to 2013 more than R$17 billion was raised. 2014 should see this continue with another R$ 5-7 billion from domestic and international investors arriving.

Investments The recent PEVC Industry Data Consolidation by ABVCAP/KPMG also shows that investments have been continuous in Brazil and in 2013 alone there was a total of R$17.6 billion invested in local companies by PEVC firms. Investments in venture capital grew 35% compared to 2012 and private equity increased by 23%.

A maturing industry The local ecosystem and industry have been maturing rapidly while in the past five years more domestic funds have been raising foreign capital. Instead of just a handful ten years ago, international investors now have a broader pool of qualified domestic fund managers in the buyout, midmarket growth and venture capital areas to choose from.

The Limited Partner Morning

On day two, April 8th, a closed-door morning meeting is reserved for Limited Partners-only (fund of funds, secondaries funds, pension funds, foundations, endowments, insurance companies, family offices, etc. ) from both Brazil and abroad to discuss issues such as portfolio allocation, fund manager monitoring, fund and fee structures, diversification in sectors/segments and hot spots for investment strategy.  

In 2014 the LP Morning Session gathered 64 Limited Partners from Brazil and abroad including Funcef, Valia, Previ, BNDES, Fundação Itaú Unibanco, Fundação Real Grandeza, FAPES, IFC, EIA, CAF, MIF/FOMIN, Partners, Hamilton Lane, Buysse Partners, EDC, ADIA among others.

The LP Morning is by invitation only and requires separate registration. 

International Limited Partners Welcome

ABVCAP´s Annual Conference has been expanding year by year both with more domestic and also international delegates.
